Bar-e-Sehet

A brand identity based upon women’s sanitary health (specifically promoting sanitary pads created from recycled T-shirts). Narrowing towards the nations of India and Pakistan, as in terms of social norms, both nations are still struggling with social progression due to stereotypical mindsets—such as viewing periods as "unclean" and sanitary pads as a "dishonour".
An opportunity to break social taboos to achieve social progressivism by educating our women (and men) the importance of upholding women’s sanitary health, as no woman within our subcontinent should ever fear their well-being, as they are the backbone of our society.
Artist Statement:
'Bar-e-Sehet' (English: “About Health”) is a shortened phrase for "sehet ki baray mein"; translates to "it is about health"; derived from Persian, within the Hindustani language. It is an attempt to unite the women from the nations of India and Pakistan, who were ultimately divided due to the historical, political, and religious disagreements.
Both nations are predominantly traditionalist societies, due to caste and religious honour/pride, unfortunately, certain aspects may be potentially frowned upon, due to stereotypical mindsets—such as viewing periods as "unclean" and sanitary pads as a "dishonour".
This name has the prosperity to break into an unyielding society, increasing the confidence of the women who need the services most.
