Overview

In this workshop, you will be encouraged to challenge your creative work in the context of a possible future, exploring its implications and (un)preferable consequences. This workshop will be guided by Still Not Quite, a critical research studio engaging with communities to open a discussion about their futures.

Please bring a recent piece of work and be ready to re-contextualise it! Open to all creative disciplines.

Bio of speakers: Still Not Quite is a research studio using speculative design to engage communities in open discussions about their futures. They run speculative workshops where members of the public design objects and services from hypothetical scenarios. These designs are used to collaboratively explore possible futures and empower participants to be active in the creation of their futures. Their mission is to democratise speculative design to take it out of academia, and into the public decision-making processes.

You can follow their work on Instagram or their website.
