Overview
"Ugh it’s hard at the moment….I get it. This in-person workshop is an uplifting, playful and, most importantly, practical way for you to see the wood through the trees after graduating and keep making your art!
This workshop will cover:
- The power of D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) ways of working
- collaboration over competition
- Tips on money making, the art hussle, and an opportunity to develop your dream artist residency." - Ames Pennington
This free event is open to all current UAL students, regardless of your college. Tickets are limited and booking is advised to guarentee a place at this workshop. Please bring your UAL student ID to enter the building (if you forget your pass you can request a tempoary one from recepion on the day).

Bio:
Ames Pennington (they/them) Has been an Artist for over a decade, focusing on social practice, performance, films, and much more, working with institutions, organisations, as well as self-organised groups and in the public realm. They understand the ups and downs of making a living from something that is very precarious yet can be so freeing. This workshop aims to give you some real life hints and tips that they have learnt through their art hustling ways.
