Sabbatical Officer Degree Show Fund

The Degree Show Fund is part of the Cost of Living and Study officer objectives. Each year, final-year UAL students showcase their work in the Degree Show, an exhibition that attracts UAL alumni and industry professionals. This event provides students with valuable networking opportunities and encourages them to produce high-quality, professional work.

However, creating these final pieces can be expensive. The Degree Show Fund was established to support students in producing polished and well-presented work for the exhibition. 

Terms and Conditions

Please read carefully, as this contains important information about how reimbursements will be processed.

• This is a reimbursement fund available only to UAL final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students who are creating work for the summer Degree Show.
• The fund is not intended to create a larger portfolio for assessment. It only covers materials and costs directly related to the Degree Show work.
• The SU can reimburse a maximum of £150 per application

Data Collection & Privacy

• The SU collects information to review applications, celebrate student work, and advocate for student artists.
• Your data will be held by the Students’ Union and shared anonymously with the university for statistical analysis, using student numbers only.

Reimbursement Process

• The SU is a charity and cannot offer funding as a traditional bursary.
• Students must first cover their own costs, after which the SU will reimburse the exact amount. Reimbursements will be processed provided that photos of receipts are included as proof of payment.
• Reimbursement will take place in early June. Arts SU processes payments twice a month, so payments will not be instant.
• All paperwork must be completed by 15th June—late submissions risk not be processed
