ISRAEL-PALESTINE: WE ARE SUPPORTING THE CALL FOR AN IMMEDIATE AND CONTINUED CEASEFIRE, AND AN END TO THE TERRIBLE ACTS OF VIOLENCE AND LOSS OF LIFE ACROSS THE REGION.
The escalation of violence that the world has seen in the past few months has and will continue to have crippling consequences, and we share in the grief felt by our community during this time. With the diverse global community at UAL, we know that Arts SU members are impacted differently by events outside of the university.
We previously released a statement around the conflict in Israel and Palestine, expressing support to our communities at UAL, and condemning any acts of antisemitism, Islamophobia and all other forms of racism and discrimination. Since then, we have been listening to student responses and feedback, working with affected student groups and facilitating contact with the university, as well as supporting individual student activities and events.
We continue to be committed to equality, social justice and the safety and wellbeing of our students.
If you are personally affected by the conflict, or have very close connections to the region
