What are you looking for?

Our service is confidential

This means we won’t disclose any information relating to you or your case to anyone outside of the service including confirming if you are using our service or not without your express consent to do so. There are times when we may need to break confidentiality. 

There are rare occasions where an adviser may need to break confidentiality without consent. These include:

  • If we think you may be a risk to yourself or other people
  • If you disclose information relating to a child or vulnerable adult who may be at risk of harm
  • If we are required to by law

We are here to help you. Our terms of service set out who we are, what we expect from you and what we can and can’t do for you. 

If you access advice from our service, you agree to our terms of service and associated policies

It is very important that you understand the ‘What we need from you’ section of this document.

If you breach any of these expectations we may have to limit or withdraw the service from you.


Privacy Notice

Please note that when you contact us for advice we will open a confidential case file for you and record your personal information, details of your enquiry and any advice given.

The details shared with Arts SU, will be held in compliance with the Data Protection Act (DPA) and with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018, along with the University and Arts SU data protection policies.

Information collected will be held for a maximum of 5 years and used for statistical purposes only and will not identify you when compiling reports.

Chloe Wilkinson-Silk

Hey! I'm Chloe, the Advice Service Manager here at ArtsSU. I oversee the Advice team and help coordinate our approach to helping students. I spent 2 years as the Education Officer at my previous union, which solidified my passion for ensuring students feel healthy, happy and supported through their studies by their SU. Outside of work, I'm a massive foodie and thrill seeker with a particular love for games and puzzles.

Hayley Bromell

Hi, my name is Hayley. I am a Student Adviser here at Arts Student Union. I provide academic and housing advice, helping students feel heard and empowered during their time at UAL. In my spare time I love attending gigs and doing something creative, whether that be painting or knitting.

Shriya Ruparelia

Hey, I'm Shriya and I'm a Student Adviser at the SU! I provide students with advice around different UAL processes like appeals, EC's and complaints. I also advise on issues around housing end ensure that students feel heard and supported. In my spare time I love cooking, baking, listening to live music and reading (mainly fiction and poetry!)

Charlee Jobson

Hiya! I'm Charlee, one of the Student Advisors at the Arts SU's Advice Service. I'm here to advise with academic concerns, housing issues, and to point you in the right direction for any other queries you may have. It's important to me that UAL students receive the best possible support to help them on their academic journey. I've been in London for over 5 years, and love reading, theatre, and travel.

Usually the fastest way to contact us is to email using our contact form.

We always aim to reply within 5 working days, but often reply much sooner.

We generally answer in chronological order but if your issue is very time sensitive please mark your email 'Urgent' and we will try to get back to you as soon as we can.

Book an appointment (new clients only)

If you prefer to speak to someone directly, and you have not spoken to us previously about the issue, you can book an appointment with an Advisor.

If you already have an Advisor assigned to you and you would like to speak to them please just email them directly - this will be usually be much faster than using the booking form!
