Register to be a Course Rep

Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a Course Rep!

To complete your Course Rep registration, you simply need to click the "add to basket" button below. (Don't worry, it doesn't cost money!)

Once you have clicked "add to basket", you need to click on the basket symbol in the top left-hand corner of the screen and complete your "check out". 

Once you have successfully registered as a Course Rep, keep your eyes on your inbox, you should receive a confirmation email and more information about the role within a week or so.

Having trouble signing up?

1. Please ensure you are trying to register or sign in to a student account: your student ID will not work with a staff/guest account.

2. If you still can't sign in, please contact UAL registry on studentsystemshelp@arts.ac.uk to update your consent settings with us.

3. Once UAL registry update your settings, they will send you a confirmation email. Be sure to check your spam folder too!

4. 24 hours from your confirmation email, your details should be uploaded onto our system and you should be able to register using your UAL email address.

5. If you are still having issues after following this process, please reach out to comms@arts-su.com so we can check what's going on.

Data Protection Declaration 

I confirm that I give my consent for my details outlined below to be shared with Arts Students’ Union, and held in compliance with the Data Protection Act (DPA) and with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018, along with the University and Arts SU data protection policies.

Details will be kept for up to four years as a record of involvement and for statistical purposes.

Students can ask for details to be deleted on request or withdraw consent at any time by emailing coursereps@su.arts.ac.uk but may forfeit access to the role by doing so.

What details do we need you to share with us?

First Name, Last Name, University Email, Student Number, Details about your course and level of study.

We also collect and have access to protected characteristics as identified within the Equality Act 2010 including age, sex, race (including ethnic origin or national origins, colour or nationality) and disability.

We ask you to share any access needs you may have so we can support you in your role.

Why?                                                                                                          

We ask for these details for the purpose of:

  • To invite reps to training and events relevant to their role and share timely updates in support of their role including emails and newsletters.
  • To share data with University of the Arts London and wider student body to inform them of the students that are enrolled as Course Reps.
  • Providing School Reps with the contact information of their Course Reps to allow them to gather feedback and pass on relevant information relating the role.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of our support of you in your role and that those taking on the role are representative of the wider UAL student population.

General Declaration

I confirm that I am a student at University of the Arts London and a member of the Students’ Union. I am willing to volunteer for the position of Course Rep.

I promise to positively engage in the academic student representative role and treat others in a respectful manner throughout, never engaging in threatening or harassing behaviour.
